Salman Khan broke the ice while shooting for Radhe, says Megha Akash
Megha Akash shares her experience of shooting during the pandemic and about her Bollywood film, Radhe
Recently, Megha Akash took a brave decision to resume shooting for four days for a Tamil anthology directed by A.L. Vijay. The Lie actress admits that shooting in the pandemic is very scary and challenging. The Chal Mohan Ranga star says they even rehearsed maintaining social distance and wore masks.
“Because there’s always a fear factor, and you don’t know through whom you can contact the virus and further spread it,” she says, adding that actors have their task cut out post the lockdown. “As a precautionary measure, I had isolated myself for 10 days after shooting because I didn’t want to trouble my grandparents at home.”
She tells us that they wore masks, did thermal screening, sanitised hands constantly, spraying disinfectants on the sets, etc.
“What I realised is that everyone else on the set could work wearing a mask, but actors can’t do that. That’s a very scary thought,” she explains.
Megha will be next seen in a Salman Khan-starrer Radhe, which is directed by Prabhudheva. Apparently, one of the assistant directors of the filmmaker saw Megha at an airport and suggested her name. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Megha, however, is not paired opposite the Dabangg star in the film. For now, though, the actress is just tight-lipped about her role, only indicating that the role has a lot of action that surrounds it.
“This is the first time I am doing a lot of action sequences. I even rehearsed a lot for my scenes,” she says.
Admitting that she was initially nervous to shoot with Salman, she speaks of how he made her feel comfortable.
“He broke the ice. He’s very approachable. What I observed in him is that he is a good listener and remembers everything,” she shares.
So what did she and Salman speak of when not shooting, we ask her. “Our on-the-set conversations were about the action scenes in the film and his ‘Being Human’ charity,” she says, adding beamingly that the next day, he gifted her one ‘Being Human’ tee-shirt.
