Rashmika shines over Kajal, Samantha in endorsing brands
Undoubtedly, pretty actress Rashmika Madanna is ahead of her rivals like Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal, Tammannah, and Mruna Thakur in brand endorsements. She is reportedly drawing more than Rs 4 crore for national brands, while her rivals are stuck between Rs 2. 5 to Rs 3 crore to become the most popular face in promoting brands. “She is the highest paid brand ambassador in Tollywood since she has a pan-India appeal and is also sought-after for local brands,” says a source and adds, “She charges more than Rs 25 lakhs for shop openings while other divas pocket Rs 15 lakhs and hence her popularity is way ahead of others,” he adds.
The actress had hits like ‘Geeta Govindam’ but the massive success of ‘Pushpa 1’ expanded her brand equity and international brands knocked at her doorstep. From McDonald's to Vicks and Santoor to Dabur Honey along with 6-odd brands, she became the go-to endorser for top brands, and even Khazana Jewelleries roped her in. In fact, Rashmika became a pan-India celebrity after ‘Pushpa’ and retained her brand value by doing a few more Hindi films like ‘Animal’. “Telugu actresses focus on Hindi films only to bag more brands than film offers. Even today, top brands prefer Hindi actresses over south Indian heroines since they believe that Bollywood actresses have a better reach and Rashmika is cashing in on it,” he points out.
He claims that overexposure doesn’t apply to Rashmika since she has just started her game. "She has to think about reducing or increasing endorsement after two or three years but for now she has to just promote brands and walk all the way to the bank without worrying about overexposure and stuff,” he adds.
On the work front, Rashmika is looking forward to her next big ticket film ‘Pushpa 2’ and also awaiting audience response for her lover girl act in ‘Animal’. “Both the films are quite crucial for the actress since their massive success will expand her fan base across India and also fetch her a few more brands,” he concludes.
