Hrithik's tweet confirms Jr NTR's role in War 2?

On the occasion of Jr NTR’s birthday on Saturday, wishes poured in from his colleagues across all industries, but there was one which stood out — it was from Hrithik Roshan.

“Happy Birthday @tarak9999 ! Wishing you a joyous day and an action packed year ahead. Awaiting you on the yuddhabhumi my friend. May your days be full of happiness and peace …until we meet...Puttina Roju Subhakankshalu Mitrama,” posted Hrithik.

The two actors are sharing screen space in the upcoming action drama War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. Over the last few days, there has been wide-spread speculation that Jr. NTR will play a baddie in the film. We hear that the RRR star will be seen in a role that has shades of grey in the spy universe. Based on Hrithik’s tweet, fans and netizens feel Jr NTR will lock horns with Hrithik on the battlefield.

Jr NTR himself is excited about playing a challenging role, as it provides him with an opportunity to explore different emotions and showcase his versatility.

According to a source, “Jr NTR and Hrithik will indulge in multiple extensive reading sessions with director Ayan Mukerji. As a part of their preparation, both actors have to undergo a makeover. The prep for their respective characters will start as soon as the director is done with the script.”

Meanwhile, Jr NTR’s first look from Devara, directed by Koratala Siva, has been released.

On another note, the actor clarified that was unable to attend the NTR Shatajayanthi Utsavalu event held in Hyderabad on Saturday due to prior family commitments, in connection with his 40th birthday which was on the same day. He said he had informed the organising committee of the situation when he was given an invitation for the event.
