Filmmakers drop director's credit!
Although the poster of That is Mahalakshmi, starring Tamannaah, has been released, the director's name is missing from the credits.
After director Neelakanta walked out of the film That is Mahalakshmi, the Telugu version of the Bollywood film Queen, director Prashanth Varma took over the directorial reigns of the Tamannaah-starrer.
Now, although the poster of the film has been released, the director’s name is missing from the credits. Prasanth, of Awe fame, has directed a major portion of the film but seems to be unwilling to take the credit for it.
A source in the know reveals, “Prasanth Varma only wants to ghost direct it and doesn’t want to take any credit for directing it. He had a word with the film’s producer Manu Kumaran with regards to this before commencing the shoot, and the producer has no qualms about his decision.” The shooting of the Telugu version has wrapped up, and the comic drama is currently in its post-production stage.
Meanwhile, all the four versions of the film (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam) are being readied for simultaneous release.
