Double standards in remuneration

Recently, the Telugu producers and Movie Artistes Association had decided to reduce the remuneration of all character actors – but the decision seems a bit lopsided, in light of the fact that  producers are paying a bomb to lead actresses.

Popular singer Shirley Setia is making her Telugu debut opposite Naga Shaurya. According to a source, the makers paid her a huge sum. “The makers paid nearly Rs one crore to her as remuneration,” says a source.

 “The actress demanded a high fee, so our filmmakers decided to pay it,” added the source.
