Hyderabad: Tech changes have seen digitised Telugu movies being screened across the globe. 

But the real achievement was the Telugu movie ‘Devadas’ starring Akkieni Nageswara Rao and Savithri. It ran for 70 days in 1955 in Chintamani Theatre in Madurai in Tamil Nadu. Director Dasari Narayana Rao’s first film ‘Thatha Manavadu’ ran for 100 days in Bangalore.

The all-time Telugu hit ‘Sankarabharanam’ directed by K. Viswanath ran for 100 days again in Bangalore. There were hundreds of Telugu movies screened across the country with Hindi dubbing.
