I love experimenting with roles, says Poorna

Poorna continues to pick up fascinating roles. After winning accolades for her portrayal as a pregnant and hearing impaired woman, she will next be seen in a cop role. Known for pulling off complex roles with great ease, the actress is apparently elated to play a cop in director Sethu’s debut Malayalam film starring Mammootty.

“I love experimenting with roles and that’s what keeps me hungry for versatile roles. This is the first time I am playing a cop, although there’s also a funny side to the character. In fact, there’s a lot more to the character than meets the eye. My antics, mannerisms and body language are completely different,” shares the actress, adding, “I was offered cop roles earlier too, but never took them up because the characterisation did not suit my nature. But now, I am looking forward to it.”
