A musical extravaganza

Mani Ratnam’s Cheliyaa had a simple audio launch on Tuesday. The director was accompanied by wife Suhasini, composer A.R. Rahman, actors Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari, lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry  and director Vamsi Paidipally. The event’s highlight was Mani’s speech in Telugu. “I always want to do this but this time I brought along a Telugu teacher,” he said, pointing to wife Suhasini. Aditi too surprised everyone with a Telugu speech. Mani, Vamsi and Karthi offered condolences to Dil Raju, who’s releasing the film in Telugu but couldn’t be present at the do because of the recent demise of his wife.
