After making an impressive debut with Majnu, Riya Suman (aka Priya Shri) is now set to enthrall the audience with her next film, Paper Boy. Clarifying the change in her name, she says, “When I came into the movies, my name was Priya Shri, but later, I came to know that there were a few actresses with the same name. Also, people have been calling me Riya Suman, which is my original name, so I went back to it.”  While her debut film Majnu was a hit, Riya took her own time to do her second project. “That’s because I accepted Manju when I was in college, so I wanted to complete my education and then focus on my acting career. However, I just couldn’t wait to come back to films, and I took up Paper Boy as soon as I finished my graduation,” she states.

Talking about her role, Riya says, “I play Dharani, an independent girl hailing from the Gadwal Reddy family. It’s a strong and performance-oriented role, which is why I picked it up.“ She adds, “Initially I took time to adjust to the royal body language of my character, but later, things went smoothly and working for the film was a great experience.”

Riya shares that Paper Boy has a universal theme of love and separation. “The story is about how a paper boy falls in love with a rich girl. But the film has been narrated in a convincing way. In fact, the lead pair connects and bonds with each other over reading books, and that’s when love blossoms,” she explains, adding, “The film is high on emotions and the dialogues are impactful. I got a hang of Telugu, and understood the meaning of my lines so that I could express myself better.”
