Nagarjuna insists on rustic flavour in Naa Saami Ranga
Seasoned star Nagarjuna who is doing the remake of Malayalam film ‘Porinju Mariam Jose’ has reportedly insisted on retaining the flavor of the original film while doing its remake in Telugu as "Naa Saami Ranga.' “Nagarjuna wanted to retain the rustic flavor of the original and just allowed a few cosmetic changes. He also didn’t want to tamper with the ‘soul’ of the film and it is shaping up well,” says a source, who claims that young director Vijay Binni is capturing a realistic fare. “Nagarjuna knows the varied tastes of Telugu and Malayalam audiences but still he wants to make a slice-of-life movie in Telugu too,’ he adds.
Nagarjuna showaves his mass avatar with messy hair and beard. He also smokes a beedi. “The world of ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ is already unveiled and he is also introduced as the King who makes mincemeat of his opponents with his brawn,” he adds.
Earlier, Nagarjuna has tasted big success with action movies like ‘Mass’ and ‘Don’ and he is doing an anger-driven role after a gap. He was hailed as the evergreen lover boy onscreen with blockbusters like ‘Majnu’, 'Ninne Pelladatha', 'Manmadhudu' and ‘Santhosham’. He also showcased his flair for comedy in films like ‘Chandralekha’ to carve a niche for himself.
