'Duvvada Jagannadham' has only two action scenes: Harish Shankar
Apparently, the story of this film was in Harish's mind from the last three years and he felt that Allu Arjun was best suited for it.
Most Telugu films have climaxes that end with action scenes, but director Harish Shankar has something different in his upcoming film, DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham.
“Our directors usually follow the regular template with a few action scenes, songs and climax scenes ending with action. But for DJ, I told Allu Arjun that I have a different climax planned without an action scene. He immediately agreed. The climax of this film is entertaining and I am confident that the audience will sit till the end,” says Harish Shankar, adding, “From the beginning, Allu Arjun told me to go according to the story and not to show heroism just for the sake of it. That’s why this film has only two action episodes.”
Apparently, the story of this film was in Harish’s mind from the last three years and he felt that Allu Arjun was best suited for it. “When I narrated the story, he was thrilled at first and said that he has to work hard for this role. True to his word, he interacted with many Brahmins to get their accent right,” says the director, talking about about his lead actor.
Meanwhile, many people are comparing DJ with Shankar’s Gentleman as they feel the story lines are similar. “My film is releasing this Friday and you will all know whether both the stories are similar or not,” says Harish, adding that he feels proud about being compared with a director like Shankar. “I grew up watching his films,” he says.
