Learning from Tollywood
The actress believes that commercial films give you the scope to perform and reach too.
Rukhsar Mir, who made her Telugu debut with Akathayi, loves being a part of commercial films. The model turned actress, who is currently shooting for Nani’s film, says that commercial films give you the scope to perform and reach too. “Although I have done girl-next-door roles, full on commercial films excite me a lot. I was touched to see the warm welcome after Akathayi. Although I am taking baby first steps into Tollywood, I am blessed to get good opportunities. Nani’s film gives me a chance to prove my acting mettle,” says the UK born actress with a degree in fashion design.
Having done a handful of films in Kannada, Rukhsar, who considers herself an accidental actress, feels the learning curve was big in Tollywood. “I am fortunate to get the freedom and space to perform in my second film too. I can’t thank my director Merlapaka Gandhi enough. The experience is only making me more responsible and pushing me to do better,” she shares.
