Pawan Kalyan chooses to wait it out
The actor–politician asks his filmmakers to hold the shootings to his films
With a huge surge in COVID-19 cases, the shooting of many films in Hyderabad have come to a grinding halt. Although the Government hasn’t imposed any restrictions, the makers of several films, along with the actors, have chosen to avoid risking themselves at shoots during the third wave.
The Pawan-Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu was supposed to commence shooting in January, but the actor decided to stop the shootings of his new films because of the rising number of COVID-19 cases.
There was some patch work left for his another film, Bheemla Nayak, but the actor is expected to wrap up that one, too, only next month.
A source close to the actor says, “It’s his conscious effort to stop his shootings. Meanwhile, he’s using the time to work on his political agenda and party activities towards strengthening his party.”
