Great hype for Pawan Kalyan's Katamarayudu
Industry insiders feel that the film's first day collections could be anywhere between Rs 35 and Rs 40 crore.
Although Pawan Kalyan’s last release Sardaar Gabbar Singh failed to work at the box office, his latest offering, Katamarayudu, has managed to create a great deal of hype in Tollywood. The movie is having quite a huge release and the buzz around the film seems good too.
“On the first day, we are expecting the collections to be anywhere between '35 crore and '40 crore,” says an industry insider. talking about the expectations.
In Hyderabad, a multiplex in the Kukatpally area is screening nearly 33 shows of the film on the first day. Even other multiplexes are having more than 25 shows.
The makers have planned a very strategic way to generate hype for the film and have been promoting it well. The actor’s elder brother, Chiranjeevi created a record with the humongous collections of his comeback film Khaidi No. 150. It now seems, Pawan Kalyan may surpass that too. That’s the reason he chose a safe story on a bond between five brothers. These kinds of subjects have become big hits earlier in Tollywood, with films like Annayya, Peddannayya and Maa Annayya.
