Acting was never on my agenda, says Natasha Assadi
Nevertheless, she seems to be enjoying the process.
Miss India Universe (2015) 1st runner up, Natasha Assadi, is excited about her Telugu debut Gautham Nanda. The Bangalore-based model will be seen sharing screen with Gopichand in the Sampath Nandi directorial.
“I am a film buff, but acting was never on my agenda. After my pageant, I have been getting offers, but when director Sampath Nandi narrated to me, the script of Gautham Nanda, I found it fascinating. I thought it’ll be a great way to start my Tollywood career,” Natasha recounts.
The action-drama has two leading ladies, Hansika and Catherine, but Natasha is not apprehensive about being sidelined. “Everyone has their own space, and my role too is impactful. I play a personal secretary to Gopichand, who is a billionaire and a bit of a brat. I play an NRI, high on fashion and extremely intelligent. Working with him is a great experience.”
Ask her how different films are from modeling, she reveals, “Pageant shows are competitive and quick, while films are slow. Both the fields are challenging and exciting in their own ways. Off-course, films will give actresses an edge, and I thoroughly enjoyed working for the film. Since I am a Kannadiga, understanding Telugu was a bit easy for me. I would love to do more work here in the future.”
