Rahul Ravindran-Chinmayi play reel-life couple

Actor Rahul Ravindran and singer Chinmayi are a couple in real life, but for the first time they will be seen as a reel-life couple too — they recently shot as a pair in Most Eligible Bachelor, starring Akhil. Rahul says the two of them had fun playing a reel-life couple. “But we don’t appear as Rahul and Chinmayi in the film,” he clarifies.

He says the makers approached him for the roles. “Chinmayi was offered several roles earlier but she did not take them up. But when I bounced this idea to her, telling her that we play a wife and husband in the film, she wanted to give it a shot. In fact, she was more excited to share the screen with Vennela Kishore,” he shares.

Rahul reveals that going to set with Chinmayi was “a bit strange,” but adds that he was glad to be able to spend a few hours of quality time with his wife on the sets.

“Although Chinmayi has been part of ads and TV reality shows, she was very worried that she may not pull it off, but Akhil and the director Bhaskar made her comfortable and ensured that she stayed calm,” says Rahul. According to him, Chinmayi turned out to be completely natural in her part. “Looks like she’s a better actor than me,” he quips.
