Jawaan isn't patriotic
The Sai Dharam Tej-starrer is a thriller and will see the actor in a new avatar.
Sai Dharam Tej will be seen in a new avatar in his upcoming film Jawaan, directed by B.V.S. Ravi. A source from the unit reveals, “Director Ravi wanted to change his (Sai Dharam’s) entire look, from outfits to the hair do. The actor’s body language has also been changed completely.”
The shooting of the film has been wrapped up and the project is currently in its post production phase.
Clarifying the air around the film’s title, the source adds that Jawaan is a thriller, not a patriotic film.
“The story revolves around the protagonist and the villain and it has come out well. The unit is very happy about the outcome,” the source says.
Interestingly, Krishna, the producer of Jawaan, wanted a September 1 release, but it clashed with the release of Puri Jagannadh’s Paisa Vasool. “There is a rumour in the industry that Puri Jagannadh preponed his film’s release because he didn’t like Krishna. Now, because of that Jawaan will be released on another date,” reveals the source.
However, as many big films are slated to release in the following weeks, Jawaan may get a late October release.
