Salaar Day 3 Collections: Prabhas Movie on Box Office Rampage
Prabhas' latest cinematic venture, "Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire," has stormed into the box office arena, making waves with its impressive collections in its opening weekend. Despite facing stiff competition from Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki," Salaar managed to claim the throne as the biggest opener of 2023, surpassing all expectations.
The film kicked off its box office journey on Friday with a spectacular Rs 90.7 crore, outshining Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan," which earned Rs 89.5 crore on its opening day. Although Salaar witnessed a 37 percent decline on Saturday, with collections amounting to Rs 56.35 crore, it made a remarkable comeback on Sunday. The film's earnings on the third day soared to Rs 64.07 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to an impressive Rs 211.12 crore.
While Salaar exhibited a stellar performance over the weekend, it fell short of surpassing "Jawan," which raked in Rs 188.8 crore in its first weekend in India. Salaar, on the other hand, secured a commendable total of Rs 120.42 crore domestically.
Salaar is not only battling the box office but also fiercely competing with Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki," which hit theaters a day before Prabhas' film. Despite Salaar's dominance, "Dunki" managed to collect Rs 31.50 crore on Sunday, bringing its total domestic earnings to Rs 106.43 crore.
Directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, Salaar boasts a stellar cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. The film is set to unfold in two parts: "Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire" and "Shouryaanga Parvam" as Part 2, promising audiences an immersive and engaging cinematic experience.
As the battle for box office supremacy continues, fans eagerly anticipate the unfolding saga of Salaar and Dunki, making 2023 an exciting year for Bollywood and Tollywood enthusiasts alike.
