Fresh lease of life for Maha Samudram
The actor is reportedly putting pressure on Sithara Entertainment to produce the film.
A few days ago, director Ajay Bhupathi narrated the story of Maha Samudram to actor Sharwanand, who liked it very much. He told Ajay that he wants to do the film and said he would arrange a producer for it too. The director had narrated the story earlier to a few others, and all those stars had agreed to do it too, but somehow the film never went on the floors.
Now, Sharwanand’s interest has given it a new lease of life. The actor is reportedly putting pressure on Sithara Entertainment to produce the film.
“They are in the doldrums, because Ranarangam, their earlier film with Sharwanand, was a flop and this film will need a budget of `20 crore to 25 crore,” the source said.
Both Sharwanand and Ajay are waiting for a positive response from producer Naga Vamsi.
Another aspect is that Ajay Bhupathi wants to rope in Vijay Sethupathi as the other actor, but the Tamil star is one of the highest paid actors, so whether the producer will accept this is the question. Interestingly, it is almost two years Ajay delivered his successful debut film RX 100. He is now stuck with Maha Samudram.
