IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao recently attended an event held at the Basavatharakam Cancer Institution, a hospital founded by Nandamuri Balakrishna, as the chief guest. Speaking at the event, Balakrishna said that KTR’s name was inspired by his late father NTR.
“If I am not wrong, K. Chandrashekar Rao got inspired by my father N.T. Rama Rao and named his son K. Taraka Rama Rao,” he said.
When KTR was given the opportunity to respond, he said, “My father named me Taraka Rama Rao in 1976, and I can assure you one thing that I have never done anything to spoil the name of Taraka Rama Rao.”
The minister promised to help develop the cancer institute into one of the best in the country.
