Battle of the spouses

One seldom hears of couples competing at the box office. That’s why it’s amusing that Samantha and Naga Chaitanya will be competing against each other when their films release in the same week. Though there were reports that Samantha would postpone her film’s release to make way for her husband’s movie, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

“Though they don’t want the dates to clash, Chaitanya’s film is coming one day before (September 12) Sam’s film,” says a source.  While Samantha’s U-Turn is a remake of the hit Kannada film with the same title directed by Pawan Kumar, Sailaja Reddy Alludu is a commercial film in which Chay will appear in a mass role. It is directed by Maruthi. However, it remains to be seen which film will dominate at the box-office.
