Satyaraj told Rajamouli that he would not have any objection if Prabhas keeps his foot on his head.

Popular Tamil actor Satyaraj disclosed that ace director S S Rajamouli approached him to play the revered role of Katappa under one condition.

“At the outset, Rajamouli asked me whether I would accept a scene where Prabhas would place his foot on my head before beginning the story narration,” he said at a film event that has gone viral.

“Probably, he wanted to make sure that I would not reject the story after a two-hour narration just because of this one scene,” he adds.

Then Satyaraj gave him confidence by citing the names of legendary actors like Sivaji Ganesan and  Mohan Lal who performed such unusual acts since their roles demanded such behavior.

“Mohan Lal licked the boots of a British officer in a hard-hitting film ‘Kaalapani’. I told him that I don’t mind doing it if the role justifies it since legends have enacted such scenes in the past. It is a different story that “Baahubali turned out to be a blockbuster and my role Katappa remained etched in the minds of people,” adds Satyaraj.

Subsequently, Satyaraj began to do more Telugu films and was seen in important roles in big-ticket movies like “Mirchi’, ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘Prati Roju Pandagey’ and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ to mention a few, and showcased his acting brilliance in Tollywood.
