Despite delivering a string of flops like ‘Aa Ammayi Gurunchi Meeku Cheppali' and Hunt’, Telugu actor Sudheer Babu is taking another big risk with his next film ‘Harom Hara'. He is planning along with makers to release the action film across India as it is billed to be a pan-India film.

“Of late, North Indian audiences are rejecting Telugu movies in a big way so it is not going to be a cakewalk for Sudheer Babu to woo Hindi film viewers,” says a Hindi distributor, who cites the example of ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ which failed to draw in Hindi viewers.

“Producers spent Rs 4 to 5 crores for promoting the film aggressively in Hindi belt and Ravi Teja spent more time in Mumbai to promote his action film. He even matched dancing steps with glam diva Shilpa Shetty in a show but the film didn’t draw decent enough openings,” he adds.

Actually, Sudheer Babu, who is the kin of superstar Mahesh Babu has to revive his sagging fortunes in Telugu states before conquering other language audiences.

“He should impress the Telugu audience with a decent enough hit before arriving in Mumbai. Films like ‘Pushpa’ and “Karthikeya 2’ impressed Hindi film viewers since they were also liked by Telugu viewers, so first Sudheer has to regain his winning touch in Telugu before venturing to other states,’ he informs.

Sudheer Babu’s latest release was ‘Mama Maschindra’ wherein he played multiple roles but it sank without a trace and arrived on OTT within a week of its release, so he has to win the confidence of Telugu viewers first.
