Vunnadi Okate Zindagi marks a turning point for Sri Vishnu
The actor talks about his role in the upcoming film Vunnadi Okate Zindagi and his best friends in real life.
Sri Vishnu is a shy person in real life, but on screen, he plays some energetic roles. After proving himself as an actor with films like Prema Ishq Kaadal and Appatlo Okadundevadu, Sri Vishnu will soon be seen in an intense role in Vunnadi Okate Zindagi (VOZ).
“I play Vasu, Ram’s friend in the film. It’s more about friendship and my role has all the emotions. One can relate to my character as it is so natural on the screen,” says Sri Vishnu.
Interestingly, the makers had approached a few people for this role, but finally roped in Sri Vishnu. “I know director Kishore Tirumala as we first met a few years back for the film First Hand. When he was looking for someone for this role, my film Appatlo Okadundevadu released. Both the director and producer Ravi Kishore saw the film and decided to sign me on," reveals Sri Vishnu about bagging this project.
The actor admits that before signing the film, he didn't know Ram Pothineni much. “But once I signed the project, Ram took the initiative and made me feel like his friend. For almost one and half months, we use to go out for lunch, mostly to discuss about the film and our roles. We became good friends and that helped me to give a natural performance in the film,” says Sri Vishnu, who adds that this film will allow him to reach a wider audience.
“I have done only small films till now, but with VOZ, I can reach a wider audience. This film is going to be a turning point and will take me to another level in my career," says the actor, confidently.
Sri Vishnu says that he gives importance to friendship in real life too. “I have many good friends from my school days and I’m in touch with them,” he says. From the industry, he reveals, “Nara Rohit and I are best friends. Like me, he too never comes out for any party or mingles with anyone. We are both not talkative.”
The actor is also playing a lead actor in the film Mental Madilo, which is releasing next month. “The film is complete and we are waiting for a good date. I play a different role wherein I get confused when faced with too many options,” says Sri Vishnu about his role.
