Ram Charan Teja's 'Dhruva' is one of the films to be affected by the move.

Allu Aravind, who is producing Dhruva that stars Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh, said that he has postponed the film’s release because of demonesation.

“First, we were planning to release it on December 2, but because of the currency ban, we were not sure if the audience will come to theatres to watch it.

So, we did a bit of research and decided to postpone it to December 9,” says Allu Aravind. He is hopeful that the situation will return to normalcy at the time of release.

“Actually, we were planning for a big pre-release function on December 4 and wanted to release the trailer then. But, I got excited after watching the trailer and wanted the audience to watch it right away,” adds Aravind.

To promote the film extensively, he is organising events in Vijayawada, Tirupati and Vizag. “We are also planning to attend the premieres in the US,” he says.
