Kriti Garg, who will be seen as a mechanical engineer in the suspense thriller, Raahu, states that she’s lucky that she got a performance-based role in just her second film after 2 Hours Love.

“I play a strong girl who undergoes several challenges in her life. The story is a gripping narrative of how the character endures it all — from losing her mother at a tender age and fighting it out with external forces to dealing with the syndrome of losing vision under stress,” says the Jaipur-born actress.

Kriti then admits that the role was demanding both physically and mentally. “I could envision the character’s journey when I was auditioning for the role. But bringing out several emotions in the character has been challenging. The second half of the film has several action scenes and chases, so I had to prepare extensively for it,” she reveals.

Adding that she just doesn’t want to be just another pretty face and that she wants to take up meaty roles, Kriti thanks the film’s director Subbu Vedula and the producers for this opportunity. “Subbu was very particular that I got my expressions right; we even did a workshop to get my body language, diction and emotions right,” she adds.
