Makers of the Telugu remake of Queen have finally found a replacement for director Neelakanta who quit the project a few months ago. We have learnt that Prasanth Varma will now direct the Tamannaah-starrer.

After the success of Awe, Prasanth has been flooded with exciting offers, among which the Queen remake is one. Producer Manu Kumaran is said to believe that Prasanth’s directorial skills will do justice to the comic-drama.

Prasanth is supposed to direct another big-ticket film, but that project may take a while to materialise. In the meantime, he has decided to take up the Queen project.

“Since the project has been delayed, the unit wants to complete shooting on a war-footing. Taking into consideration Tamannaah’s limited availability, the unit is planning to wrap up a major portion of the film in a 30-day non-stop schedule,” a source reveals.
