While Rana Daggubati’s health has been much talked about the whole year, the actor seems to be totally unconcerned, and is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to prepping for his cop role in the coming film, Virata Parvam, directed by Venu Udugula.

Apparently, the Baahubali star will soon undergo comprehensive training on all aspects of police work. The programme, which is likely to commence in the first week of January, is expected to be helmed by a retired top cop.

Although Rana has played a cop in earlier films, he insisted on a police training workshop since he wants his look and body language in the film to be authentic.

He will be trained on a wide range of aspects, “from rifle shooting and combat weapons use, self-defence techniques and sprinting, to getting the body language right,” according to a source.

Meanwhile, the actor has wrapped up a session of shooting at the Vikarabad forests.

“Since the film unit couldn’t get permission from the Forest Department for night stay, Rana had to travel 170 kms up and down from Hyderabad to Vikarabad forests every day for ten days,” adds the source.
