C/o Kancharapalem goes places
“Director A. L. Vijay is one of my good friends in the Tamil industry with whom I made a film titled Saivam.
Produced by Suresh Babu, the small Telugu film C/o Kancharapalem turned into a big success. Now, the film is going to be remade in Tamil and Malayalam by Rajasekhar, who made the film Tripura. Confirming that he has bought the remake rights from Suresh Babu, he says, “I am remaking the film in Tamil and Malayalam, and work on the Tamil version has already begun. Hemambharadhar Rao is directing it and we are going to rope in all new faces for the film.”
Stating that he will soon make a Telugu film too, Rajasekhar adds, “I am planning a horror film in Telugu with a top actress playing the lead. The director has worked with Maruthi earlier and we will announce the details soon.” Hailing from Guntur and having studied in Hyderabad and Chennai, Rajasekhar is passionate about films, and has decided to produce films in both Tamil and Telugu.

While C/o Kancharapalem was made within a budget of Rs 60 lakh, Rajasekhar is putting in Rs 1 crore for the Tamil version, with the source revealing that he bought the rights for Rs 40 lakh.
