Ganesh’s film shelved?
Director denies rumours, stating the film is merely awaiting the US visa approval
It’s been well discussed that Ganesh, producer Bellamkonda Suresh’s younger son, will make his acting debut under director Pavan Sadineni. The film had completed 50% of its shooting schedule with some scenes still to be shot in the US when the pandemic struck.
Since then, however, the film’s shoot hasn’t resumed and dark clouds seem to loom over the project. Apparently, the visa issuance delays in the US because of the recent presidential elections have posed a challenge for the filmmakers to continue with the action drama. The filmmakers even mulled over the option of changing the location, but as the US is an important character in the film they haven’t been able to.
Meanwhile, the director has completed directing one web series and is even considering another project. So it’ll be interesting to see whether Pavan and Ganesh will complete the project and wait till the unit gets the visas or if both of them move on to other commitments.
When contacted, Pavan admitted about the delay in the shooting but dismissed reports about the film being shelved. “It is true that the film was delayed due to US visa issues, but we haven’t shelved the project. There’s a pause and whenever we get the visas, we shall embark and wrap up the schedule. Both Ganesh and I have been in constant touch with each other, discussing when we can resume the shooting,” explains Pavan.
