Celebs mourn Sivasankar master’s demise
Award-winning choreographer Sivasankar died of Covid
The film fraternity has expressed grief over the passing away of National Award-winning choreographer K Sivasankar in Hyderabad. The 72-year-old was hospitalised earlier this month after he tested positive for Covid-19. His condition worsened and he breathed his last on Sunday night. He is survived by wife Suganya and two sons, Vijay and Ajay.
Sivasankar had worked in over 800 films in 10 languages apart from acting in several movies. He received the National Film Award for the song Dheera Dheera Dheera in (2009).
Apart from Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, director Rajamouli, who worked with Sivasankar in Baahubali: The Beginning, offered condolences to the bereaved family.
“Sad to know that renowned choreographer Shiva Shankar Master garu has passed away. Working with him for Magadheera was a memorable experience. May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to his family, (sic)”, he wrote.
