Nikhil debuts with Jaguar
Former Karnataka Chief Minister's son, Nikhil is set to debut in a Telugu-Kannada bilingual.
Politics and cinema have always had a close connection. Now, there is a new young actor emerging from a political family — Nikhil Kumar, the grandson of former prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda and son of former Karnataka chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, is all set to make debut with Jaguar, a Telugu-Kannada bilingual. Interestingly, the story of the movie is penned by Vijayendra Prasad, the father of Baahubali director S.S. Rajamouli. Jaguar will be directed by Mahadev, a disciple of Rajamouli and will be produced by Nikhil’s family.
According to a source, the film’s budget is around Rs 75 crore and the family is planning a gala event in Hyderabad on Sunday as the first look will be released. The event will be attended by many Tollywood and political personalities. The makers have roped in top technicians for the film. The movie, touted to be an action entertainer, has a long list of top action directors — from Bulgarian action director Kalyan to Tollywood’s Ravi Varma, Ram-Lakshman and Selva. A huge action scene has already been shot in Bulgaria and they have spent a bomb on it. Ramya Krishna and Jagapathi Babu will be seen in pivotal roles. The final leg of the shoot is going on at Annapurna studios.
