K T Rama Rao is a big film buff
The IT minister has watched all newly-released Telugu films.
Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao is a politician who loves and understands films. From his tweets, one can tell he watches all the recent Telugu films. Though he dedicates time to his constituency and other development works of the government, films don’t seem to take a backseat. Arjun Reddy, Fidaa, Ninnu Kori, Pelli Choopulu, Baahubali and Katamarayudu are some of the movies he has commented on.
The Minister maintains contact with top film personalities and has even attended a few film events. “KTR watched Ninnu Kori and requested the producer to arrange two more screenings for his family,” says a source. Even Fidaa was screened specially for KTR’s family. He doesn’t shy away from watching films with the crowd either. After being invited for Kamal Haasan’s Cheekati Rajyam a few of years ago, he came to a multiplex to watch the premiere. “He never acts like a powerful person. He is always down to earth,” says a producer.
In recent times, no other politician has taken an avid interest in films like KTR. Due to his good rapport with actors, he even arranged a meeting between the Union Finance Minister and film personalities in the south regarding the GST.
