Vishnu Manchu, who was engrossed in the production of his high-budget film "Kannappa," recently faced an unfortunate mishap during filming. The incident occurred while capturing an action sequence, where a drone was used to film shots at close quarters.
The action sequence took place in New Zealand, with the drone capturing dynamic shots as it got closer to the actor, but it ended up crashing into Vishnu Manchu's arm. This unfortunate accident left him with severe injuries due to the drone's blades making contact. As a result, the production had to be halted, and Vishnu Manchu was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Reports suggest that Vishnu Manchu's injuries are quite serious, requiring close monitoring by medical professionals. Consequently, the film's production had to come to a standstill.
The film, a high-budget Telugu language production, is a fantasy drama that revolves around the life of an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva during the 6th to 8th centuries. Produced by veteran actor Mohan Babu and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film's shooting commenced in New Zealand in September.
Vishnu Manchu plays the titular character, Kannappa, in the film, which also boasts an ensemble cast featuring other renowned actors. The music and original scores for the movie are composed by Mani Sharma and Stephen Devassy, with the screenplay written by Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, Thota Prasad, Sainath Thotapalli, and Sai Madhav Burra.
The film has drawn several notable stars for cameo roles. Prabhas is set to appear as Lord Shiva, and Nayanthara will be playing a significant role in the movie. Additionally, acclaimed actors Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar from Mollywood and Kannada cinema, respectively, will also make cameo appearances.
