Both Andhra and Telangana are mine: Ram Pothineni
Actor Ram Pothineni recently found himself in a sticky situation after a tweet on AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
The bifurcation of the two Telugu-speaking states continues to present a predicament for many celebrities, especially those who speak about one state over the other.
Actor Ram Pothineni recently found himself in a fix after he appreciated the efforts of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in bringing some industries to Andhra Pradesh, especially Rayalaseema. “A massive step forward for our State! Many more to come (sic),” wrote Ram on his Twitter account, only to receive backlash from people belonging to Telangana state.
In an attempt to set things right, the actor quickly adopted a diplomatic stance and tweeted for a second time in Telugu, “Whoever sets things right in my home, I support him and tweet about him. If you come and do the same, I tweet about you. Andhra is mine and Telangana is also mine, I stand on my word. Here there is no caste and no regional bias and there is no discussion too (sic).”
