Manali Rathod in Kalyan Ram's MLA

Actress Manali Rathod, who’s playing a key role in veteran director Vamsy’s Fashion Designer s/o Ladies Tailor, has landed another biggie. She will be see in actor Kalyan Ram’s upcoming film MLA, with debutant director Upendra Madhav (an ex-associate of directors Srinu Vaitla and Anil Ravipudi).

Says a source, “It’s a full-fledged role that is key to the plot of the film. Manali didn’t want to let go of an opportunity to work in such a big project and immediately said yes when approached. The director too, thought her girl-next-door looks are very well suited for the particular role and roped her in.”

 The film, touted to be a political drama, is a joint production between Viswaprasad and Bharath Chowdhary.
