Vishwak Sen’s time to shine
Telugu actor Vishwak Sen’s debut directorial Falaknuma Das is all set to release on Friday and has received an overwhelming pre-release response.
Following Vijay Deverakonda, Telugu actor Vishwak Sen seems to be shining under the limelight ahead of the release of his film, Falknuma Das, which is all set to hit the screens todya. The film’s teaser and trailer seem to have garnered good attention, as evident from the hitherto overwhelming advance bookings recorded.
Sen made his debut with the film, Vellipomakey in 2017 following which, he went on to enact psycho Vivek in Tharun Bhascker’s Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi. And while Falaknuma Das marks the actor’s directorial debut, he will also be seen playing the lead role in the movie. The film is reportedly rustic in nature and has been set in the Old City. “I don’t differentiate between commercial success and critical acclaim. It’s the responsibility of the storyteller to strike a balance, and I’m confident that Falaknuma Das is a blend of both the aspects,” he said.
Although Falaknuma Das happens to be a remake of the Malayalam film Angamaly Diaries, Sen’s direction comes with its own flavour of Hyderabadi culture and lifestyle. ”I’ve adapted the characters into our culture and lifestyle, for I happen to be acquainted with every nook and cranny of Hyderabad and its cultural nuances,” he said.
Sen’s father is bankrolling the film apart from being a partner in overseas distribution of the film. He is confident about the success of the film because “films like C/o Kancherapalem have proved how receptive the audiences are of unconventional content.”
