Shraddha Das plays a struggling Bhojpuri actress

After Guntur Talkies and Garuda Vega, Shraddha Das has landed another breakthrough role in her upcoming Bollywood film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz. Apparently, the actress will play the role of a struggling Bhojpuri actress in the Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer which is being directed by Kushan Nandy.

Talking about her role, Shraddha says, “It is a role that is very raw and challenging. Sporting gaudy costumes, putting on heavy make-up, speaking loudly, etc., are some of the traits I will have to embody to look like a small-town girl who is struggling to make it big. I also watched several Bhojpuri films to get the language and diction right.” The actress describes Nawazuddin as a quiet performer. “He’s composed and always comes to the sets well-prepared. I have learnt a few things by merely observing him.”
