Exclusive: Mahesh Babu set for epic transformation in Rajamouli's period drama

The much-hyped film in the combination of superstar Mahesh Babu and ace director S S Rajamouli is reportedly said to be a period drama. “The period drama is set in the 1800s and it has enough potential to strike a chord with masses,” says a source and adds, “More than 200 characters in the magnum opus would be seen in distinct looks and some of them belong to a special tribal sect existed in those times. Sketches of ancient looks are ready and will be finalized in the next few weeks,” he adds.
Similarly, Mahesh Babu is said to be donning multiple looks, meticulously curated and finalized by SS Rajamouli himself. The production team has remained tight-lipped about the project, heightening curiosity among fans. After the massive success of ‘RRR’, Rajamouli's next directorial venture has triggered a lot of hype and hoopla but the makers going a their own pace. "However, eager fans may need to exercise patience as SSMB29's production timeline suggests a lengthy two to three-year journey, typical of Rajamouli's meticulous filmmaking process. It would be globe-trotting forest adventure and would be a visual spectacle and music would be enchanting too,” he points out.
Mahesh Babu would be reaching out to pan-world viewers and it would also mark his debut in Hindi since most of the films weren't dubbed in Hindi. "He urged producers of his previous films not to dump his films in the Hindi language since he wanted his film with Rajamoli to be his maiden Hindi film and is quite excited about it," he concludes.
