Ranveer Singh has even released an official statement regarding the same.

Ranveer Singh was in Hyderabad a few days ago and that's when the news about his collaboration with Hanuman director Prashanth Varma made the headlines. Soon, the news spread like wildfire and it was revealed that Mythri Movie Makers was all set to bankroll this project which became the talk of the town.

A few days ago, speculation was rife that Ranveer Singh and Prashanth Varma had a fallout due to undisclosed reasons. The news was doing the rounds on social media. Immediately after that, there were reports of Prashanth Varma denying the news. A week later, here comes a statement from the Mythri Movie Makers, making it official that the project has been shelved. Both Prashanth Varma and Ranveer Singh have also shared an official statement on the same.

Ranveer Singh mentioned, “Prasanth is a very special talent. We met and explored the idea of a film together. Hopefully we will collaborate on something exciting in the future.”

A statement from Prasanth Varma read, “Ranveer’s energy and talent is rare to find. We shall manifest our forces combining soon sometime in the future. “

This project was titled Rakshas and according to the makers, this is not the right time for this film to happen and that is the only reason why the duo chose to part their ways. As per reports, this has caused a significant loss to the makers who had done a promo shoot.

Mythri Movie Makers are currently busy with Pushpa: The Rule promotions, which is slated for release on August 15. Besides the Allu Arjun starrer, the producer has a good lineup of films with promising actors and directors.
