Priyadarshi in his elements: Aces humour in Sarangapani Jathakam Teaser

Update: 2024-11-21 09:41 GMT
The film is expected to be released in cinemas on December 20th.

The announcement we’ve all been waiting for was finally made today: the teaser of Sarangapani Jathakam, directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti, was officially released by none other than the delightful Vijay Deverakonda. Suchitra was produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the Sridevi Movies banner and features Priyadarshi and Roopa Koduvayur in the lead roles. Marking the third collaboration of Indraganti and Sivalenka Krishna Prasad after the success of Gentleman and Sammohanam, the film is expected to be released in cinemas on December 20th.

In his address at the teaser launch, Vijay Deverakonda praised the film’s team. “Priyadarshi is a brother to me and he has come a long way and I am so happy. I have known Priyadarshi right from our Pelli Choopulu days, and today he has established himself as an actor in stories that are unusual and gripping. It has been exciting to see Sarangapani Jathakam’s teaser, and now I know why Priyadarshi is so dedicated to the role of an astrological believer; it puts a fantastic spin on the plot.”

He further appreciated the director Indraganti and producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad though with an appreciation, “Everytime Indraganti pens something, it’s a great narrative. I still remember how much I laughed while watching his Ashta Chamma. And Sridevi Movies is known to be producing good movies. So, I wish the best for Sarangapani Jathakam.”

The teaser gives an indication of a different kind of storyline. Creators of the teaser have decided to cast Priyadarshi to play an especially horoscope adherent character, who believes that life works out exactly the way it should. It is both funny and interesting how his childlike glee helps him get through the negative predictions. But the teaser also raises a few interesting questions and issues.

The explanations of these questions can be expected to be addressed in an interesting cocktail of humor, drama, and thrills with lots of suspense on the 20th of December.

As the teaser suggests, some elements of humor do come into play courtesy of comedians shrub blossom Harsha as well as Srinivas Avasarala and of course Vennela Kishore who’s comic sensibility is hard to ignore. The movie is going to have some rib-tickling dialog points and scenes from banter to side-splitting happenings.
