Rana to co-produce a supernatural thriller?

Popular actor Rana Daggubati was approached to play the lead in an upcoming supernatural thriller. Initially, the actor was keen on playing the lead role but he ultimately decided to change his plans. “He was initially interested in playing the lead in this periodic and mystical thriller but changed his plans,” says a source and adds, "Realising that the script has enough potential, he came on board as a co-producer and he would jointly make this big budget flick with Baahubali producers and now they are on lookout for another star," he adds.
After a gap, renowned Arka Media Works is planning to dish out a supernatural thriller. “It will be a high-budget supernatural thriller but with a modern tweak to the story. It will be designed as a trendy spooky thriller and the script has shaped up well," he points out.
Probably, the makers intend to cash in on the latest trend in Tollywood which has witnessed big hits like ‘Virupaksha’ and ‘Maa Polimera 2’ which revolved around black magic and evil spirits. “This new-age horror flick was supposed to start much earlier but as they were waiting for a big star and actress, it was delayed a bit. However, it will go on floors next year, once the new hero is finalised,” he informs.
Already, Rana is bankrolling another film "Kaantha" with Dulquer Salmaan who is making waves in Tollywood with a hattrick of hits.
