Filmmaker Trinadha Rao apologies for controversial remarks about actor Anshu Ambani's appearance at the Mazaka teaser launch.

Filmmaker Trinadha Rao Nakkina, known for Dhamaka, has issued an apology following backlash over his inappropriate remarks about actor Anshu Ambani's appearance at the Mazaka teaser launch. In a video shared on January 13, he called the incident "unfortunate" and clarified that his comments were intended to be lighthearted.

"I learned that several women were uncomfortable with my statements at the teaser launch. It was unintentional, and I deeply regret it. If my words hurt anyone, that is my mistake," Trinadha stated, adding that he would personally apologize to Anshu.

Actor Sundeep Kishan, the lead in Mazaka, shared the video on X, acknowledging the misstep: "Yesterday was an unfortunate slip of the tongue by Dir. #NakkinaTrinadhRao. It’s a wrong example to set, and we should have been more cautious." He also extended an apology on behalf of the team, stating, "Trinadh garu & Team #Mazaka apologize to Anshu garu & all women. We are because of you."

At the event, Trinadha had commented on Anshu’s appearance after a two-decade gap since Jai (2004), saying, "She’s thinner now. I asked her to eat and put on weight—it’s not enough for Telugu cinema. She has improved and will improve further." These remarks sparked criticism, leading to his public apology.
