Claim: Viral video shows a youth laying on the road on his stomach even while an RTC bus is approaching him, as part of doing a stunt

Fact: The video is fake. TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar posted a tweet on X saying that the video is a completely edited one

Social media has become a means to gain publicity and popularity. Youngsters are hooked to various social media platforms and many have an opinion that their dream to become popular overnight can be fulfilled through social media. The likes and comments on the SM platforms give a kick to their creative skills and satisfy their thirst for publicity.

In this backdrop, a video is viral on social media showing a youngster suddenly coming onto the middle of the road and laying on his stomach on the road even while an RTC bus is approaching him. Supposedly, the incident happened in Hyderabad.

He lays on the road and the bus passes on him after which the youth gets up and walks away. The video is being passed with a claim that the youngster did the feat as part of a stunt.

Fact Check: A closer look at the video would make one suspect if the video is edited because any responsible driver would not drive

the vehicle even while seeing a man in front of his vehicle.

However, within hours of the video going viral, TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar posted a tweet claiming that the video is fake and urging the public not to believe in it.

Further, he said that such videos would bring disrepute to the RTC. He also warned that there was a danger of others imitating the feat in the video which is likely to prove fatal. He said that the #TGSRTC management was considering such act serious and would initiate legal action against those who posted the video.
