Bollywood actors cast their votes in Maharashtra elections
Mumbai: A large number of voters including celebrities and film actors took part in polling during Lok Sabha elections in Mumbai on Monday.
Holding their voter identity cards, the voters thronged the polling booths concerned and cast their vote. Film actors Darmendra, Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapur, Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Manoj Bajpayee, Paresh Rawal, Gulshan Grover, Farhan Akhtar, Aamir Khan and actresses Hema Malini, Pooja Hegde, Kiara Advani, Deepika Padukone, among those who cast their vote.
Popular actor Sanjay Dutt, who voted at a polling booth in Bandra West’s Palli Hill, urged everyone to exercise their franchise.
For the first time, popular film actor Akshay Kumar, 56, exercised his franchise during polling in Mumbai on Monday.
Showing an indelible ink mark on his finger after casting his vote, he said, “I want my India to be developed and strong. I voted keeping that in mind. India should vote for what they deem is right...I think voter turnout will be good...”
