Ajay Devgn calls shots on next film

After 'Himmatwala', the actor does not want to take any chances at all

Looks like Ajay Devgn hasn’t forgotten the debacle that was 'Himmatwala'. The actor’s otherwise impeccable box office record was shaken by the fate of Sajid Khan’s remake of the ’80s cult film.

Ajay might have taken the flak for the film with a pinch of salt but he is in no mood to repeat the mistake.

Buzz is that after the lukewarm response to Prabhu Deva’s 'R…Rajkumar', Ajay has taken charge of their film 'Action Jackson'. The actor has been monitoring every scene and song of 'Action Jackson'.

“Everyone in the industry is aware that Ajay has an intuitive understanding of how scripts work. Yes, he has involved himself in the minute details of 'Action Jackson'. At his level, it’s justified, especially since he doesn’t want to repeat the 'Himmatwala' mistake,” said one source close to Ajay.

Apparently, Ajay has asked for some changes in the script. “Ajay has a lot of respect for Prabhu. But he also has a certain vision of filmmaking which he has shared in the form of suggestions with Prabhu. Ajay won’t interfere with his director’s job for the heck of it,” our source added.

So long as the changes work for the film, we don’t think Prabhu will have any complaints either. What say?
