Often considered as the man with a golden heart, the superstar Salman Khan has always been there for the poor and needy. Salman, the bad boy of the tinselville has yet again proved his other side of goodness. As per reports, unlike rival Shahrukh Khan, Sallu miyaan has chosen the opposite path to request his presenters to revise the publicity (promotion) budget of his upcoming movie 'Jai Ho'.

According to the media reports, the amount allocated for 'Jai Ho's promotion was Rs 16 crore, but Salman Khan told the presenters to ensure that the upper limit for the film's publicity should not be more than Rs 6 crore. He has further asked them to distribute the remaining money amongst the poor and needy of the country.

Well, that's indeed what proves about Salman, being a loveable lion-hearted human. On the contrary, Khan's rival turned pal Shahrukh has the reputation of pulling out all the stops when it comes to his films' marketing. In the past, we had seen SRK going to an extent spending nearly Rs.40 crore for Ra.One's promotions, which unfortunately did not fare well at the Box Office. Each time, we get to see Shahrukh on a tireless jaunt, spending and promoting his movies, say by creating video games or marketing merchandise related to the film.

We believe promotions play a very crucial role for a film's success. But, going to an extreme extent of spending for publicity and increasing a film's franchising business, is a bit too much. Salman, who insists on low marketing cost, still deliver blockbuster movies every year. So, do you guys think that Shahrukh must learn Sallu's funda of giving, rather spending excessive on gimmicks to pull the audience to the theatres?
