New Lease of life for Niyaz

In his second coming, Niyaz has been seen in some interesting roles but he is hoping that one particular role will breathe a fresh lease of life in his film career — as the lead role of a businessman in Life, directed by Leon K. Thomas.
Life is a family-oriented film shot as realistically as possible. The film takes a look at the life of a happy couple that goes topsy-turvy after an incident and the emotional and mental strain that the couple go through. Talking about the lead role, Niyaz says, “After 'Kshanakathu', I have not been cast in a lead role, although I have played villain and character roles. I made a comeback as a villain and now I am playing the lead, all thanks to director Leon. I had been offered lead roles earlier but I wanted something with substance. This role offered everything that I wanted and had an excellent back up team provided by the director and producer Sadik Kodnhi. I am happy to get the same importance as in my debut film 'Kshanakathu'.” Steffi Grace plays the female lead in the film.
For Niyaz, it has been a patient wait to be cast as the hero. “In today’s scenario, the single hero concept is done away with and all actors have equal footage. I do not mind sharing screen space with multiple actors if the role is substantial. I am open to doing important character roles or even the second lead.”
Niyaz has received some offers from Kollywood too. Before signing off he quips, “I hope Life brings new life to my career.”
