Looks like the railway track in Andhra-Orissa border is becoming a favourite shooting spot for K’town filmmakers shoot high action chase sequences. After Vijay’s Velayudham, where a train sequence was shot with Hollywood stunt choreographer Tom Delmar helming the affair, Ajith’s Pongal offering Veeram’s pre interval fight has also been shot there.

Now one hears that maverick filmmaker Shankar recently shot his much anticipated film Ai with Vikram in the same location for a high octane stunt sequence. According to production sources, it is easier to get permission to shoot at this particular railway track than in Tamil Nadu and that it is cheaper as well. The visual extravaganza produced by Aascar Ravichandran has Amy Jackson opposite Chiyaan with music by A.R Rahman. A close aide to Vikram says that he, who lost weight heavily to get a particular lean look for a major portion of Ai, is back to his original form. With  two days of shoot and a song sequence which will be shot in five days, Ai will be wrapped up, he informs.

The big news is that Shankar has made a parallel ‘making of Ai’ which insiders reveal has so much footage that it will run for several hours.
