Get ready to see Mohanlal in a full-fledged comic caper in 'Peruchazi'

Superstar Mohanlal ended 2013 in style with the super hit Drishyam in which he dons the role of a family man. He will be seen in the upcoming bilingual  Jilla with Vijay in an action role. But, Mohanlal’s best loved performances have always been his humour-oriented ones. Get ready to see Mohanlal in a full-fledged comic caper in Arun Vaidyanathan’s big budget commercial mass movie Peruchazi to be shot completely in the US.

The film’s cast include Mukesh, Baburaj, Vijay Babu and Aju Varghese among others with Vishwaroopam fame Pooja Kumar in a cameo appearance. The latest addition to the cast is rumoured to be Thalaiva fame Ragini Nandwani who plays the lead role of a NRI Indo-American character.

The director of the film Arun Vaidyanathan has already directed a Tamil film Achamundu Achamundu and produced the popular K’wood film Kalyana Samayal Saadham. This is his debut in Malayalam.

Shedding light on the film, Arun says, “This will, perhaps, be the first Malayalam film to be shot entirely in the US. This film is a political satire and we have confirmed an American actor to play an important role in the film. There will be an interesting mix of American and Indian actors in this film.”

The shooting of the film is expected to commence in March. Though Mohanlal gave his consent to shoot he film in February, the film has taken a long time to go on the floors owing to the US locations. Peruchazi is produced by Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas under the Friday Film House banner which is basking in the glow of the hit film Phillips and the Monkey Pen. So Peruchazi will see the return of the wisecracking Lalettan.
